Learning Health System Readiness Tool
Background
The learning health system seems to be a promising approach to reducing these gaps in health practices.
Indeed, this approach can permit a health system to continually:
- Collect data on patients, clinician practices, and health manager practices
- Evaluate and explain the needs of stakeholders, and gaps in practices
- Provide evidence-based solutions for the improvement of healthcare access, coordination, continuity, and quality of healthcare
However, there is no tool for measuring the organizational readiness for the implementation of a learning health system.
Our Objective
To develop and evaluate the content validity of a tool to assess the organizational readiness for the implementation of a learning health system in care settings or in hospitals.
